Happy Birthday Lynn!!!!!

Today is my CT member Lynn’s birthday.  In honor of that I have a freebie for you.  But first I want to show you some pages that people have made.

This first one was done by Lynn’s mom using my Mulberry Wine kit.  This is Sydney, such a cutie.  Thanks Cathy!!!

And this one, Robin, my other CT member did using the new collab created by Wenchd Grafix and myself, Winter Wonderland.

And here’s one I did with Winter Wonderland.

And here’s the preview for Winter Wonderland.  It’s on sale for 30% off until 11/18 at Wenchd Grafix.

Like I mentioned earlier, today is Lynn’s birthday.  I’m not 100% sure of her favorite colors, but I know that she had shades of purple in her wedding and that’s what I took to make this kit in her honor.  Please stop by her blog and wish her a happy birthday.

You can get it here until 11/20.

In interest of fair play, I missed Robin’s birthday by a few days.  It was at the end of October.  Certainly don’t want her to feel left out.  But she said she didn’t want a big deal made of it.  Of course, we women always say that but in most cases don’t really mean that (so if any men are reading this, remember it’s just something we say, but don’t really mean).  I really want to thank both Robin and Lynn for doing such beautiful work and really showcasing my designs.  You both are the best!!!

Hope that everyone has a great day!

Happy Birthday Wench!!!!!!!!

One thing that I really love about the digiworld is that when it’s someone’s birthday, everyone gets the gifts.  And today is no different.  Today is Da Wench’s birthday - Kristine as she’s known to her parents and probablly Steve (of course, he may have been the first to call her Wench?????).  And to celebrate Kris’ birthday, she got all her friends together to work on one giant freebie for you all.  Now make sure that you go by and wish her a very, very happy birthday.  Plus, she’s the only one who’s got the master list of everyone who’s participating in this blog birthday bash.  It’s not as complex as the Fab Fall Splendor, but I’ve seen what she’s done for this one and it rawks.  Also, stop by her store or her new store at the Garden and grab some of her fab designs for 42% off.   And if you should happen to sip on a Margarita this weekend, hoist the glass in her honor.

You can get it here.

Now please be a sweetie and go thank her for pulling together yet another wonderful collab.  Go here and say thanks, happy birthday or even hi.  Just let her know that you appreciate her.  I certainly do!!!!!!!!  Happy Birthday Wench!!!  Hope you enjoy every moment of it.  Mwah!!!

An alpha freebie for you

Today I have an alpha for you.  It coordinates with my Vineyard papers in the store and the Vineyard Cluster freebie for you from about a week ago. (scroll down if you missed it, it’s still available).  But first, take a look again at the paper pack in the store.

Vineyard

And here’s the alpha that goes with it.

You can get it here.  Like it?  Want more?  Keep an eye out for another coordinating alpha that will be in the store later in the week.  That one will have both upper and lower case, numbers and punctuation with it.  I’ll also have a marble alpha out later this week.  Both only $1.00.  So if you’re an alpha addict like me, it’s overly affordable.

Hope you all have a great day!

It’s a blog paarty!!!!!

Kristine, the Wench herself, has organized the most incredible blog train for everyone.  She’s amazing and has had sooooo much to do to get this ready to bring it to you all.  I give you  FALL SPLENDOR!!!!!!  70 designers have taken a swatch of colors and have created the most amazing kits and each and everyone of them is giving it away for free!  All you have to do (after you get mine of course) is go to Blog Party Central and see what great goodies are available.  Now, make sure you leave some loving for all these ladies who took time out of their schedules to make this blog train happen.  It’s all we ask for, a simple thank you while you’re waiting for 4shared to get the file ready for you to download.  I hope you have room for everything.  This party is MAMOUTH!

I really appreciate all the designers who have contributed and you can see previews for everyone on the central blog, but I wanted to point out my particular faves.  These are the ones that I’ll be drooling over all day at work.  I won’t ruin the surprise, so there will be no previews, just links.  (in no particular order)

Bon Scrapatit    Angel in my Pocket Designs    Snowsmoon Designs     KimB Designs

Tallula Moon Designs  Fishingmom’s Designs  Digitalegacies Designs   Ladybug Graphix

Wenchd Grafix

Now that’s not even a sampling of what’s out there, or even which ones I love, that would replace the Blog Party Central if I listed them all here.  Please make sure you stop by Da Wench’s blog and leave her some of your undying gratitude for undertaking this huge project.  She did an AWESOME job with everything.

Ok are you ready to see my mini kit?

Sorry Link expired.

Don’t forget that there are many different time zones in digiland and not every designer may have their links up right away, but we are all leaving them up until Oct. 31st.  So if you miss one today, you can always go back and get it.  Have fun and don’t forget to say thanks to all those who participated.  That’s really why we do these freebies.

 Have a great day!

Happy Birthday DSG

I can still remember when I first met the ladies of Digital Scrap Garden.  It was on the blog train over at DST.  I had just started blogging and CTing for Heather Manning and was trying to come up with a way to get people to my blog.  Freebies is what started me on it all.  I was checking sites daily and adding the previews to my blog.  That’s how I met Ladybug, Flutterby and Purple Frog, the talent behind DSG.  Time went on, as it always does and I stopped my freebie list.  There were other sites out there that had bigger (but not always better) lists.  But my friends would always pop in every now and then to say hi.  After a bit of time and some pep talks, I was convinced to join the store.  It’s the most fun I’ve had in ages.  The Goofy Dorks keep me on my toes and smiling through the day.  Thank you ladies!  Now it’s time to paartty.  Take a look at the different things going on to celebrate.

Sale, did someone say sale.  Yep!  The store is on sale for the next week.  40 - 75% off.  Here’s a sample of my stuff.  Ads are linked.

In addition to my paper packs and kit, all the other designers have their goodies on sale too.  And there’s an extra bonus.  With a $10 purchase you get the Sweet Dreams collaboration kit.  Take a look.

I also have 3 new paper packs that are hitting the store today and all 3 are 40% off.

Watercolor: Elements -

Vineyard-

Something Wicked This Way Comes -

And this one shows a little of the detail on a few of the papers.

In addition to the sales there is also a huge QP scavenger hunt made with the FWP kit.  More than enough to fill an entire Shutterfly book. There will also be challenges and freebies, giveaways and just tons of fun.  Stop by here to check it out.

And while you checking out sales, stop by and check out this gorgeous kit that da Wench made.  It’s on sale at her site Wenchd Grafix.  I’ll be joining Kristine’s shop soon too.  And watch for some beautiful QP’s made by her Dancing Dorks on her blog on Friday and beginning next week.  Look at this kit.  The purples are just to die for.

And last but certainly not least, if you read through all the stuff above, Congrats you found the freebie.  It’s an add on kit to Vineyard.  There are 2 papers, 2 frame clusters and 2 clusters for it.

Remember the main kit is on sale for the next week for 40% off.

Sorry link expired.

Don’t forget about the birthday chat at DST tomorrow night.  It’s gonna be lots of fun.

Hope to see you all over at the Garden for the big birthday bash.  Lots of freebies and challenges to get more freebies.  See ya there!

Mulberry Wine and a QP freebie

Hope that you all had a great weekend.  It was very low key for me.  We stayed home and mostly watched football and Nascar.  I did manage to get a little cleaning done, which is rare for weekends, especially when we’re always at the camper.

I’ve been showing you bits and pieces of my newest kit Mulberry Wine.  It’s now in the store and is 20% til Wed. night.  I also have a thread at DST for you to win a copy.  You can leave me a comment here until 5 pm EST Monday.  For every 15 people, I’m giving away 1 copy.  Here, take a look:

Don’t forget that Digital Scrap Garden is having a week long birthday bash starting Thursday.  There will be a huge sale and also a scavenger hunt.  Do you like QP’s?  Then you must stop by to find these.  They are magnificent!  There are over 25 of them, so they would easily fill up an entire album.  There will also be challenges, chats and did I say sale?

Here’s a QP for you that I made from Mulberry Wine.

Be sure to check back for more info on the Birthday bash later in the week. It’ll be well worth your while.

Have a great day all!

A Preview and A Freebie

I’ve been playing at work again.  While I’m having a great time, I’m begining to worry that if business doesn’t pick up they’ll cut more than my overtime.  I guess when people have to choose between feeding their families or paying their car insurance…..well, it’s an easy choice.  And I really want to take a minute to really bitch about the price of gas.  I don’t know what it’s doing in your part of the world; and I know that in some areas it’s much worse than it is here, BUT what I don’t understand is if the price of oil has fallen 30% since June - from it’s highest at $147.50 ish to $104 WHY did gas jump 30 cents today??????????  Even before the jump, I figured that a gallon only dropped by about 12%.  And WHY isn’t anyone in the government doing anything about it?  For the last 2 1/2 weeks all we’ve heard is how this party’s going to do this and this party’s going to change that.  No one and I mean NO ONE is even addressing the record setting profits the American oil companies are making at the expense of the people.  I’m tired of hearing about pregnant daughters and cover ups about it.  Hundreds of thousands of 17 yr olds are pregnant.  Do I like it?  No.  But does it effect me and my bills?  NO.  Leave the poor girl alone and talk about something IMPORTANT!!!!  Ok, my political rant is over.  Sorry bout that.

On to more scrap related things.  Do you want to see a preview of the new paperpack I’m putting in the store later this week?  I just put the finishing touches on it (Thank you Wench for the packaging!!)

Waterlillies is a pack of watercolored papers, some with floral patterns, some brushed.  I love how they look (just not sure how to scrap with them yet.  Hopefully someone can show me :) )  They’ll be in my store by the weekend.

I had so much fun playing with watercolors that I made a sampler pack too.  This has some elements in it.  I’m begining to branch out on ellies, so after you pick up the sampler and give them a try, I’d love a link so I can see how they worked.  Even better, join us at the Digital Scrap Garden and put them in my gallery area.  And while you’re at it, check out the new blinkie challenge we’ve just started for DSG 1st Anniversary/Birthday party that’s coming up at the end of the month.  We’re working on lots of great things, prizes, sales and freebies for playing along with us.  Make sure you check back.

Oh yeah, the freebie for today.  Like I mentioned, it’s also watercolors.  It’s called Sunset Watercolors.  I hope you like it.  Take a look.

It’ll only be up for 1 week.  My 4 shared it filling up quickly and I need to make room for new stuff.  I’m sure you don’t mind.  As long as I keep offering the freebies right?

Well, that’s it for me.  I hope you all have a great day.  Tomorrow will be Football Wednesday (unless gas jumps then another political tirade is to be expected).

Previews and freebies- TGIF

Well the last part of the title is most important.  I love short weeks at work.  Made the entire week fly by.  Of course in saying that I probably condemned myself to an agonizingly long day.  Yep, first Friday of the month.  It’s gonna be a long one.

So while I was off I finished up 2 new paper packs and then yesterday got started on another one.  They are almost all set and in the shoppe over at the Garden.  I thought I’d go ahead and show you a sneak peek.

I love the concept behind the first one.  I was having trouble with a name last week, so I threw it out to the forum over at the Garden.  I loved Cate’s idea for a theme so here is the next installment of Cate’s Sweet Muffins - Banana Nut.

For Equinox, I got to playing with my fall color palette and some brushes and here’s what I came up with.  I used one of the papers on my Imagination layout for my quote challenge.  Take a look.

And this last one, I just fell in love with these colors.  It’s really one of my first non grungy paper packs.  Autumn Orchard.

All 3 will be available in my store for only $2 a pack.

So in addition to playing with new papers, I’ve also been trying to do a few challenges too.  As always, I adore Kim B’s over at DSO.  It’s the color challenge and is one of the most amazing.  It and her CU grab bags are what got me hooked on playing with papers.  Here’s my freebie for her challenge.

Sorry link expired.

Do you like the new look of the preview?  I’m really excited and have to thank Blythe Evans for reworking her preview action so it would work in my PSE program.  I’m horrible at previews and even worse at descriptions, so this will help me a lot.  So if you use PSE or even PS and are looking for a good way to do previews, stop by Blythe’s shop and check it out.

I hope you all have a great weekend.  I’m not sure what our plans are exactly.  It’s either the campground and a party down at a friend of ours from the horseshoe pits or just the campground.  It’s been so hot here lately that it’s almost better to stay indoors.  Anyway, have a great weekend and stay safe.

New freebie

Hope that everyone had a good weekend.  The weather was glorious here and I belive the dog days of summer are over.  Oh, I’m sure that we still have a few good extremely hot days ahead of us, but it’s that slide into football weather.  Before we know it, Labor Day will be here and the official end of summer as we know it.  Only 2 weeks before the beloved Buckeyes play.

Well, I have some good news and some bad news.  Ok, first the bad news.  I’m gonna have to slow down on the freebies.  I really love making stuff to share and have been really workin my tail off to get them up several times a week.  Those of you who are among the 10% who leave comments, Thank you!!!  Your comments mean the world to me.  It’s those 10% who keep us going and giving.  So here is today’s freebie preview.  Not all the papers made it into the preview.  You’ll note the name (which is copywrited I’m pretty sure and I don’t know how much trouble Axl Rose is gonna make for me) is my favorite Guns N Roses song and the colors kinda started from hearing that song a few times in a matter on an hour one day at work.  I don’t think I got enough grey into the colors, but eh?  It’s my vision of the song.  Link after the good news.

So I guess as long as she reads it here, it’ll be official.  I’m going to join the shoppe over at The Digital Scrap Garden.  I’ve been having a lot of fun over there and it’s a great group of ladies (dorks).  So I hope that you’ll continue to stop by and see what fun I’m having.  I’ll let you know more as it develops.

Sorry link expired.

Enjoy your day and scrap happy!

Workin for the weekend

Well I had an entire post get lost somewhere in cyberspace.  I have no clue what happened to it.  And now I don’t feel witty anymore.  So you just get the freebie.

Sorry link expired.

Hope that you all have a wonderful weekend.
