Today is my CT member Lynn’s birthday. In honor of that I have a freebie for you. But first I want to show you some pages that people have made.
This first one was done by Lynn’s mom using my Mulberry Wine kit. This is Sydney, such a cutie. Thanks Cathy!!!

And this one, Robin, my other CT member did using the new collab created by Wenchd Grafix and myself, Winter Wonderland.

And here’s one I did with Winter Wonderland.

And here’s the preview for Winter Wonderland. It’s on sale for 30% off until 11/18 at Wenchd Grafix.

Like I mentioned earlier, today is Lynn’s birthday. I’m not 100% sure of her favorite colors, but I know that she had shades of purple in her wedding and that’s what I took to make this kit in her honor. Please stop by her blog and wish her a happy birthday.

You can get it here until 11/20.
In interest of fair play, I missed Robin’s birthday by a few days. It was at the end of October. Certainly don’t want her to feel left out. But she said she didn’t want a big deal made of it. Of course, we women always say that but in most cases don’t really mean that (so if any men are reading this, remember it’s just something we say, but don’t really mean). I really want to thank both Robin and Lynn for doing such beautiful work and really showcasing my designs. You both are the best!!!
Hope that everyone has a great day!

It’s Veteran’s Day here in the states. I guess it’s not Happy Veteran’s Day, but Thank You. Thank you to those from the Greatest Generation as they call it, who fought on the beaches of Normandy and the shores of Iwo Jima. Thank you to those who didn’t have a choice but answered the call of the draft and often came home the bad guys, the forgotten ones. Thank you to those who served in peacetime and war. Thank you to those who went during Desert Storm, including many of my high school friends. Thank you to those who after 9/11 saw the dangers facing the country and wanted to help end tyranny. A big Thank you to the families who sacrifice everyday the time they are away from their loved ones serving in our military. Thank you for loving this country and what it stands for enough to let them go to protect us. I can only imagine that Happy Veteran’s Day isn’t happy for them, but hopefully we as a people can say thank you and they can take a moment to be proud of their loved ones. So for those who serve and the families that love them, past and present; Thank you!
I am running so late. I guess I’ve finally gotten caught up with the time change. I have a few previews to show you. I mentioned yesterday that Kristine and I were working together on a collab. She showed you her previews yesterday (well, some of them) and now I have mine. This baby is HUGE!!!! And she worked all night to get it into the store. And here’s a page that Lynn did with it. Isn’t it just adorable, love her niece.

Not too much going on here. The weather’s been perfect, during the day 70 degrees but night is still cold enough to have to have the heat on. Unfortunately fall in the Midwest is always unpredictable and they are talking snow flurries for the beginning of next week. brrrrrrrrrr
I have some pages to share with you. The first two were done by my extremely talented CT member Lynn.

Isn’t just a fab page. She used my kit With Gratitude, which is the Daily Petals giveaway over at DSG. It’s a download a day to get the complete kit. Don’t worry if you missed the first few days, I’m working on a way to get everyone caught up.
And with this one, Lynn used my newest kit Desert Mirage.

This is one I did for the template challenge over at the Garden. Carena supplies an awesome template each month and this is what I came up with for it.

I still have a bunch of other pages I need to do for challenges. If you haven’t been over to check out the challenges at The Garden lately, make sure you stop by. We’ve put a point system into place so you can choose your own participation bonus over time. Lots of great challenges hosted by great ladies. Stop by and say hi.
Also, it’s Fantacy’s birthday today. Stop by her blog and leave her a little lovin today.
Hope you all have a great day!

Even with the ups and downs, I had a wonderful weekend!! Thank you so much to those who sent prayers and well wishes for my SIL and the baby. Everything is just fine in that area, thank God. Addi has grown a foot since I last saw her in July and what a little personality she is. she’s gotten to the climbing stage and no longer likes to be held. *sobs* She scared the daylights out of her mom and me by climbing on the kitchen table then tumbling off it. I swooped down to scoop her up to make sure she was ok and she didnt’ even cry. Took a few years off her moms life. I’m sure that there will be a few more grey hairs before the new baby hits that stage. And Em is just the little drama queen but very independent too. We had a total blast trick or treating, a first for me with them. Best few hours of my life that I’ve spent with them. Of course any time spent with them is the best of my life.
I wish I could say that the move went smoothly. But very few ever do. We weren’t very well organized and it was a rush job even though it didn’t need to be. There’s no deadline for her to be out of the house. So there is actually more in the house than got moved. It’ll be an ongoing process for the next few weeks. Unfortunately, I won’t be there to be a part of it. I do want to tell you about an angel that was sent to us. My dad, who passed away in March 2007 had a great friend of his from his church. He was not well know to the family per se. Being extremely short handed, mom thought she’d give him a call. This man dropped everything he was doing to come and help us move the heavy stuff for a few hours. The unselfishness of this man is totally mind blowing to me and I am deeply grateful for him. (not to mention it meant that I wouldn’t have to do the heavy lifting). God does work in mysterious way.
I’m blogging tonight to a) make sure I do an update (sorry no photos of the weekend yet) and b) because my plan is to get up at 5:30 tomorrow to get to the school when the polls open so I don’t have to wait in line for hours to vote. The people who are voting early here in Columbus are waiting 3-5 hours. Now that’s what I call determination. I hope that those readers I have in the states take their opportunity to exercise their rights tomorrow and vote. At least the ads will stop tomorrow night.
Oh yeah, I got gas yesterday for $1.99 and today the stations here have gas at $1.98. Could we actually see it go lower??? Or will it go right back up after the election is over? If it does then I definitely see a conspiracy. hehehe
Ok now to some scrapping business. The designers over at DSG have outdone themselves on the Nov. collab that is now in the store. You can get it for $8.50 or free with a $10 purchase. You can see it here.

Isn’t it gorgeous. We’ll be doing a collab kit every month from now on. And the challenges over at DSG have been changed too. We’re now working off a point system so that you can get a gift certificate to get whatever you want in the store. Each challenge is worth 20 points and 100 points equals $1 in GC. Each month you can earn 400 points (plus bonuses) Isn’t that cool. I’m working on my scraplift page for the scraplift challenge. And I host the quote challenge too.
Also this month, I did the Daily Petals giveaway. It’s a link a day for the entire month to get this kit.

You can read more about it here.
And one last but very important bit of news. Robin has gotten her computer woes straightened out and she is no longer an unofficial CT member but is totally official now. Robin has been a big fan since my early freebie days of templates and it’s been a running joke with us. But no longer. It’s official girl and I’m holding you to it. So look for more pages from my girls, Lynn and Robin in the future.
Edited to add: Well, I pulled off my great election day plan. I woke up at 5 and got out of bed about 5:30, pulled into the school and was in line at 5:50, to be the 22nd person in line. The first person got there at 5. I was out of the voting booth at 6:50, so an hour total wasn’t too bad. There were a lot of people in line by the time the polls opened. It was definately worth getting up early to get it all done. Shannon asked if I was coming back home afterwards, but all I would have done was go back to bed and could have been late for work. So instead I came in to play. Yeah! Hope that you also had a short wait and voted.
Hope you all have a great day and scrap happy!

And cold. Not that we got any snow here (Thank God) but it’s still a shock to the system to walk into the bathroom in the middle of the night and hit that cold linoleum. Can you believe it’s the end of October already?? Where is this year going? I swear that time is just flying by.
Remember that I told you about Lynn, my CT member who’s gotten her mom into digi scrapping. Well, Cathy did some layouts with some of my stuff, she also used Da Wench’s stuff too, and I wanted to show you the 2 pages she sent to me. Cutie alert ahead. lol

Aren’t they wonderful pages. And such truly adorable kids.
Lots going on over at Digital Scrap Garden for November. A whole new round of challenges are coming and changes to participation bonuses. Each challenge completed will be worth points and point accumulate and then become good for personal use products in the store. Read more here. Now I host the quote challenge and have lots of fun trying to come up with something that relates to that month, but have to remember that not all “holidays” are celebrated in every part of the world. I’ll have the quote up tomorrow for everyone, a day or two early, but that’s how we like to do it at the Garden.
I also have the honor of hosting the Daily Petals for November. It’s a daily download and by the last day of the month, you have a complete it. I’ve got a sneak peek for you.

That’s just the elements peek. Check back tomorrow for the papers. And I’ll have a link for you.
I also have 2 new items in the store over at DSG and have several more hitting the shelves shortly. Now these are showing, but they’re not available unless you REALLY, REALLY gotta have them now. Otherwise, wait til Friday when the Digi Scrapping Day Sale starts.

So watch for more new goodies tomorrow. 2 alphas and 2 more Christmas themed products.
Stay warm and have a good day!

Finally!! But with the weather being typical Midwest/Ohio up and down in the temps the sinus stuff is coming back. But the worst of it is gone and I’m really looking forward to eating solid food again. I’ve lost 5 lbs. Now if I can keep it off. But the worse part of all this is my aunt from Florida and my mom have been in town and I spent all of a hour with them. In my defense, they were spending some of the time with my cousins who have little kids who DON’T need this type of bug, so I stayed away. The main point of my mom coming down was to see and spend time with my aunt. I don’t think that they had planned on every waking moment, but God love em, they did so without any fuss. And God bless my cousin Kate! She is in Florida this week and when she heard that my mom was coming down, suggested that mom stay at her house with my aunt. That was the biggest blessing! I can’t imagine having to entertain during this past week. While I’m bummed I didn’t get more time with my aunt, I’ll be heading home at the end of the month to help mom get ready to move so I’ll see her soon.
I got some exciting news! I now have an official CT. Yea!!!! Lynn has come aboard as my first official member and I’m still waiting for my unofficial member Robin to get her puter fixed to see if she’s gonna make it official. So I hope to have some terrific pages to show you soon. I have a new kit coming out next week and Lynn’s digging deep to find some photos she can use. I need to find my scrap mojo too so I can play with it. I think I have a few photos of my nephew on his trip to the Badlands somewhere.
Ok, big football weekend. It’s time for Ohio State to put up or shut up. Last week was a miserable excuse for a game and the Big Ten won’t put up with that crap. Sat. game is Michigan State, who’s playing pretty well so far this year. If we manage to get past them, the BIG game is next Sat. night vs. Penn State. I’ll hold my taunting til Monday Amanda. Have to see how the team fares this weekend. I will say in all honesty, that I admire Joe Pa greatly and hope that if this is his last season, it’s a National Championship season for him. (I really don’t think OSU can beat them, but don’t tell Shannon I said so).
Off to work all. I’ve been trying to play catch up on all my blog hopping. I’ve read a few at work and then missed going back once I’m at home to leave a comment. I’m tryin.
Have a great weekend all!!

One thing that I really love about the digiworld is that when it’s someone’s birthday, everyone gets the gifts. And today is no different. Today is Da Wench’s birthday - Kristine as she’s known to her parents and probablly Steve (of course, he may have been the first to call her Wench?????). And to celebrate Kris’ birthday, she got all her friends together to work on one giant freebie for you all. Now make sure that you go by and wish her a very, very happy birthday. Plus, she’s the only one who’s got the master list of everyone who’s participating in this blog birthday bash. It’s not as complex as the Fab Fall Splendor, but I’ve seen what she’s done for this one and it rawks. Also, stop by her store or her new store at the Garden and grab some of her fab designs for 42% off. And if you should happen to sip on a Margarita this weekend, hoist the glass in her honor.

You can get it here.
Now please be a sweetie and go thank her for pulling together yet another wonderful collab. Go here and say thanks, happy birthday or even hi. Just let her know that you appreciate her. I certainly do!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday Wench!!! Hope you enjoy every moment of it. Mwah!!!

NOT!!!! Actually I love the Fall. Football and that nip in the air, changing colors and all that jazz. But it also means sinus weather and it hit early this year. Must be the hot days and cool nights. I am soooo sick right now. I got home from work yesterday, curled up under 2 down comfortors on the couch, in front of the tv of course and waited miserably for the old man to come home to take care of me. He did make me chicken noodle soup and let me have control of the tv all night. I couldn’t get warm right up until I crawled into bed. It’s a predictible course, runs the same way every year. Starts with the nose running like a river and head stuffed up, throat hurts to speak. That’s usually a day or so and then it settles into the chest area. Makes it hard to breathe. Right now, I’m in between the two. Ugh.
I know a secret, that’s not really a secret anymore. Da Wench, Kristine is now selling her wonderful designs over at Digital Scrap Garden with the rest of us goofy dorks. In honor of her grand opening, her store is on sale for 42% off. Why 42? Cuz that’s the magic number and tomorrow, she’ll go back to being older than me.
bwhahaha Watch for some great, I mean fantastic things going on tomorrow from the crew.
I’m gonna go crawl back into bed for a little while. I’m the only one in the office today, which means that I actually have to do some work for a change. See ya tomorrow with some goodies.

And it’s a tad bit chilly and all I really want to do is jump back under my covers and snuggle with my dogs. Alas, duty calls. So I’ll write up a short note and head off to work. How was your weekend? Ours was quite down at the campground. As it grows closer and closer to the end of the camping season, less and less people come down to their campers. It’s such a sad sight. But we did manage to get a few people together to watch Ohio State play, we all sat outside around the fire and waited nervously for the clock to tick down. Penn State is our next night game and really our next challenge. I’m sure there will be a few exchanges Amanda before the big game. (Penn played well Sat.) We watched the wreckfilled Nascar race at Talledega and then before we knew it, it was Sunday night. The next time we go to the camper, it’ll be to close it up for the season. (sniff, sniffle)
I did manage to work on a few alphas. Look for a couple of freebies this week. Heather Manning will have a new kit out this week too and it’s beautiful!! I’ll have a preview of it soon. Don’t forget about all the great challenges over at the Garden too.
Well, I’m off to blog hop for a few before I leave for work. Have a great day all!

Wow, where did it go? I can’t believe that it’s the end of the month already. Do you realize that Christmas is only 86 days away? Have you started your shopping yet? Not me, I’m a wait til after Thanksgiving type of girl. I do need to get started on my calendars though. Last year after Christmas, I hit Target up when they had all their Shutterfly stuff on clearance. I think I paid $15 for the calendars and that includes shipping. Not too bad.
Did pretty well in the horseshoe tournament. We lost the first round right out of the gate, but we did play one of the best players. I kept up pretty well on my end, but it just wasn’t enough. The second game we smoked em and then the third round was by far one of the best of the day. I ended up having to throw against Shannon and his partner. At one point we were down 20 to 6 and mounted a major comeback. When the score was 18 to 20, my partner threw a 6 pack (2 ringers) and then Shannon’s partner did the same thing to cancel out the points. Shannon’s shoe beat me by about an eighth of an inch. It was a great game. I didn’t get most improved, but in most peoples eyes, I have improved by leaps and bounds. One of the best throwers pulled me aside and told me that he voted for me, which really made me feel good because at the begining of the year, he was one of those who really didn’t want me around cuz I was so bad. There’s always next year?
Did you get a chance to stop by the Garden and check out the birthday festivities? The QP scavenger hunt is a blast! It’s still going on until tomorrow, so if you didn’t stop by, do so now. The QP’s are gorgeous and there are 26 of them, enough for a mega book. And remember that the store is having a birthday sale with most items at 40% off and select products at 75% off.

Look at what Myahsmommy did with my Mulberry Wine kit. Isn’t her dd beautiful!
I totally spaced when I did the post. You’d think I remember that since it’s the end of the month that tomorrow is the biggest and best blog party of the year! Da Wench organized over 60 designers to do a giant freebie party. check it out.

So make sure you check back tomorrow for my part and the link to the main blog where you can get EVERY one of the over 60 links.
Well that’s all the time I have for today. Have a great day all!
