Still a whole lot of nothin scrapwise but WOW

I’ve really gotta say that this week has been pretty boringly quite for me regarding scrapping.  If I was playing around with templates and alpha, I’d have nothing to say.  I did actually scrap a little.  SBB has a challenge that runs weekly called Try Something New and it was to try to alter a photo by either doing a sketch or watercolor technique.  I also combined it with Amy Bleser’s Template challenge (I love her templates, I want to be like her when I grow up).  So here’s the layout and how the new technique turned out.

So my brother called me last night.  That in itself is very strange, cuz he’s not a big phone talker.  You may remember how the resort hotel messed up the reservations when they came down to stay at the waterpark.  Well I wrote a nasty letter and pointed out that there was a money back guarantee on the way they made the reservations.  I hadn’t heard anything from them, but my brother said they credited his credit card the full amount of the room.  See it pays to bitch sometimes.  Then he started talking about Christmas and how it’s their turn to come down to see me, like we rotate or something (which is not really true, I’ve spent the last 3 Christmases up there and it hasn’t been an issue with me, now Shannon I think would like to spend time with his family at Christmas, but oh well).  Then he said that they wouldn’t be able to come down again this year cuz they’d be awaiting their 4th child.  Ok, that took me a minute or two.  WHAT!  OMG!!!! Are you saying what I think your saying?  Yea~~~I’m gonna be an aunt again.  Quite the surprise cuz they were supposed to be done with the kids.  The funny thing is that I’m telling all you this, but my mom doesn’t know yet.  She’s supposed to be going over for dinner and they want to tell her face to face.  Surprise!

Well, I’m working this weekend so we won’t be heading out to the camper.  Need to get some work done around the house.  I hope that you all have a terrific weekend.  no major weather issues, health issues or personal crisis come you way.  Also please keep in mind that while I read everyone who stops by blog at work, I can’t always comment on them from there.  I do try to get back and comment afterwork.  I don’t want anyone to think I’m ignoring them or don’t appreciate all you how come by and read about my imo very boring life daily.  Thank you!!!

    Congrats on being an aunt again. That’s the best way to have kids. You can spoil them then give them back to their mom and dad. Have a good weekend even if you do have to work.

    OH BOY!!!!! More baby pictures..I can’t wait….FOUR??? wow, that is a task in itself! Too bad, no camping this weekend….and I hope this rut that we all seem to be in goes away real soon.     Congrats on 4 times Auntie! My brother and his wife say no more because day care is too expensive. If I was closer Id watch them for free and I could have more nieces and even maybe a nephew! lol Have a good day at work.

    AWESOME!!! Congrats, Aunt Diane!! Yes, I remember where you live, but lately feel like I need AT LEAST 36 hrs in a day to keep up. Don’t really know why. It doesn’t seem like I’m doing that much more lately than I was doing, but it seems to take longer. I think I need some ginkobaloba or whatever… Troubles concentrating and remembering…
