Looks like it’s gonna be a short one today.  That’s ok, I’m sure that after yesterday’s marathon post you all won’t mind one bit.  It’s been kinda quite in my part of the digi world since I left my guest CT spots.  Have you gone and gotten the template from Heather Manning’s CT blog yet?  Andrea made a great template and Heather’s donating a terrific prize.  You can check it out here.

I was watching one of the entertainment shows last night and caught a a short segment about Charleton Heston.  I’ve seen a few of his movies in second runs thoughout my life.  I’d say the most popular being The Ten Commandments or Planet of the Apes.  Never see Ben Hur though.  Anyway, what caught my attention is that he had only dated one woman, eventually marrying her and that marriage survived Hollywood until death.  You just don’t hear stories like that anymore.  A storybook romance.

I have another template to share with everyone.  Here’s a layout I did with it.  I used Lindsay Jane’s Lickety Split from her grab bag.

April is Autism Awareness Month.  My family has been so fortunate and for that I am profoundly grateful, we have not been touched by this heartbreaking disease.  But there are so many families out there who have.   Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. It occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strike boys than girls.  Stats taken from Autism Speaks website.   Several families in the  scrapping community have also been affected.  And several are doing a wonderful thing to promote awareness and raise money.  Check out this info from Pixel Gypsy’s website.  She has the most beautiful kit that she is offering.  It’s gorgeous.  You can go to her site to see it and see how you can not only get it but help a wonderful cause also.
